MLS Examines Inter Miami Deal for Casemiro

Inter Miami's signing of Brazilian midfielder Casemiro has come under review as Major League Soccer (MLS) investigates whether league rules were properly followed during the transfer process. The league confirmed it is examining allegations related to the acquisition but has not announced any disciplinary action. 

Casemiro, 34, joins Inter Miami after an outstanding career that included successful spells with São Paulo, Porto, Real Madrid, and Manchester United. A five-time UEFA Champions League winner and longtime Brazilian international, he brings championship experience and leadership to a squad already featuring Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez. 

The investigation reportedly centers on MLS discovery rights, a league mechanism that governs negotiations for certain incoming players. League officials said they are gathering all relevant information before making any further comments or decisions. 

Despite the ongoing review, Casemiro is expected to begin training with Inter Miami as the club prepares for the remainder of the season. The outcome of the investigation will determine whether any league rules were violated during the signing process.
